Today I found a video about Mob Programming recorded at this year’s OREDEV conference.
Mob Programming means that the whole team is working on the same tasks at the same time in the same room even at the same computer. One team member is the driver at the keyboard while all others are navigators brining in their ideas. It’s like a long running coding dojo with production code.
What first looks like a waste of resources seems to be a process model that eliminates sources of unproductivity like meetings, waiting for other tasks to complete, taking techincal depth and much more.
